ENGAGEMENT WITH CHANGI AIRPORT GROUP
The COVID-19 pandemic created an extensive impact on the air cargo industry, especially to Changi Airport’s passenger and freighter network. Changi Airport Group (CAG) worked with SLA to obtain feedback from members on the current and near-term air cargo demand, as well as supply chain shift situations. Conducted on a periodic basis, the feedback received became a pulse check of the operating climate and useful to understand and address the immediate air cargo industry challenges.
On another note, CAG developed Changi Air Cargo Community System, a community data-sharing platform to underpin an ecosystem of collaborative applications. Registered organisations will gain immediate access to the community platform which provides the most updated air cargo performance and insights. It also features the Forward Cargo Flight Schedule, which gives a forward view of the air cargo network and connectivity at Changi Airport.

REVISION OF MTO REGISTRY BYLAWS
During the year, the Association commenced work to review the bylaws of the Singapore Registry of Accredited Multimodal Transport Operators (MTO Registry) to bring it to date with current developments of the industry and best practices. Operated by SLA since 6 April 1995, the objective then was to establish a sound multimodal transport operating system, in line with the UNCTAD / ICC rules for Multimodal Transport Documents and the FIATA Multimodal Transport Bill of Lading.
