Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) conducted an ISO surveillance audit of SLA and its subsidiary, TLA on 30 October 2020. The auditor recognised the efforts put in by the Association to help member-companies through the difficult COVID-19 situation with timely dissemination of relevant and necessary information from the government agencies as well as the much-needed bulk purchase of face masks and thermometers. The report recorded the meticulous steps taken to organise a successful e-AGM on the Zoom platform. The auditor also commended TLA’s risk management, mitigating with fast migration from physical sessions to synchronous online training and examinations.
