ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations (AFFA)

SLA is a founding member of AFFA, a regional organisation comprising national logistics / freight forwarding associations in the 10 Southeast Asian member-states. AFFA promotes freight forwarding through inter-governmental cooperation. Representing Singapore, Mr Stanley Lim continued to serve as AFFA Honorary Secretary and participated in AFFA’s virtual Annual General Meeting held on 17 December 2020.

One of the notable highlights during the year was the proposed AFFA Standard Trading Conditions (STC). Largely modelled after the SLA STC, the objective is to make the AFFA STC available to ASEAN Member States which do not have their respective national trading terms and conditions.
